Flu & Cold Season
Uggghhh...
Since my last post, we have all been sick!!!! We are all still sick!!!!
Congestion, cough, sore throat, and general ickiness for all three of us.
Kiera continued to wake us up during the night crying or yelling out, until last night when she blissfully slept through the night. Let's hope we are on the upswing!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope everyone has a great day and gets lots of love and chocolate from their friends and family!
Kiera has loved getting Valentine's Day cards from everyone and loves the cute animals on the cards. She walks around with them (all tattered already) saying "Kee, Kee, eoooow". That is her impersonation of a kitty cat saying Meow. It is so adorable!
She is getting smarter by the day, saying and recognizing the animals and their sounds.
We are all in a great mood today!
Kiera finally slept through the night last night for the first time since getting sick over a week ago. It was so nice for all of us to wake up feeling rested.
It was also a treat for us to have my dad come over to drop off a card for Kiera. He ended up staying and chatting with us for hours. We rarely get the chance to just sit around and talk. I really enjoyed it!!!!

Pretty Girl

Oh my, what a week!!!
Kiera decided to get sick and puke all over the place the day before the Super Bowl XL, really early in the morning waking daddy and mommy out of a deep sleep. It's amazing how quick you spring out of bed when someone is puking.
All day Saturday and Sunday we were treating her with medicine and she kept having a fever on and off both days, but after checking on her at half-time, she was burning up with a temp of 103.9!!!! We decided the hospital was a good place to visit since we weren't able to keep her fever down for two days.
Doc says it is a virus, and has caused an ear infection (her first), and they gave us an antibiotic to make her better, so mommy stayed home Monday to take care of our little sickie.
She went to daycare Tuesday after not having a fever for 24 hours. But she wasn't eating and hasn't eaten much of anything since Friday...Mostly just milk and Goldfish crackers. Daycare says she was still very cranky and just wanted to be held a lot.
So, that night she had another fever, and mommy stayed home with her again on Wednesday.
Finally here we are Thursday, and she has a very bad cough and congestion and is sleeping horribly, but we have her on so much medicine, that it is actually starting to work and she is a little happier and eating better.
I hope she is back to normal soon for her sake and mine. We both need more sleep!!!!

Happy Birthday Valerie!
Well, I am another year older and wiser! Friday Jan 20th was my birthday!
I had a great day! I took the day off from work and slept in until Kiera woke me up at 9 am, that's an extra TWO hours! Yipee! Then we had a nice leisurely breakfast. Kiera is doing really well feeding herself with a spoon. I then dropped her off at daycare so I could run back home and take a nice long, hot, peaceful, bath in a quiet home! :)
I made an appointment for 1 pm to get a manicure and pedicure, so I went to that and had a wonderful time chatting with Megan who did both for me. It was wonderful to be pampered!!!
After running some errands and getting my license renewed, I picked up Kiera from daycare and went home to change for my birthday dinner and a movie! Aunt Anna watched Kiera for us so we could go out like real adults. ;)
Jeremy and I went to eat at a local restaurant that had fantastic food and wine!!! Very romantic.
Since we had a little time to kill before the movie started we went to a local tavern and had another drink.
Then our big night ended with the opening night movie of Underworld: Evolution. Jeremy and I both enjoyed the movie and the night out!!!
It was such a wonderful day! One of the best birthdays ever!!!!!!

My Sister is Moving Back Home!
My sister Bonnie and her daughter Ashlyn are moving back to Michigan from North Carolina Today!I am very excited that Kiera will have a cousin nearby to play with.
Now we just need to convince the fourth sister to move back too. ;)
